Plum Creek Meadow Bird Walk

Henslow Sparrow - Plum Creek Meadow

Event Type: Bird Walk
Date: Sunday, May 3, 2026
Time: 8:00 am - 10:00 am
Location: Plum Creek Meadow
Address: Burnham Ave, north of 223rd St, Cook County, IL (near Chicago Heights) Map

We’ll check the grassland area for Meadowlarks, Dickcissels, and sparrows, including Henslows. In the wooded area, we’ll look for in-coming summer nesters and migrants - cuckoos, warblers, vireos, flycatchers, woodpeckers, and more.

Meet in the parking lot. The trails are a mix of natural surfaces (dirt, wood chips, and mowed turf trails). There is a porta-potty next to the parking area.

.Leader: Eric Myers
