Winter provides a great opportunity to view waterfowl when numerous species that breed in Canada and the Arctic travel here to hang out for the winter. Join Matt Kalwasinski for a special program on winter waterfowl. Discover the variety of species that spend the colder months in the Chicagoland area and learn key identification tips for recognizing these colorful, hardy birds.

Matt is the Vice President of the Dunes-Calumet Audubon Society and is a high school psychology teacher in Indiana. He has led trips for both the Indiana Dunes Birding Festival and the Urban Birding Festival since their inaugural years. Throughout the year, Matt offers birding programs and field trips. He enjoys traveling with his family to explore the continental United States.
