Native Plant Sale
Photo: Patricia Andersen
Each spring, Thorn Creek Audubon and Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve partner on a native plant sale to raise funds for educational & conservation projects and to increase native plantings in our area. The plants offered are all native to Illinois.
Check back next spring to find out what wonderful additions will be available for your yard. The sale will be held at Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve.
The annual selection of native plants is chosen to thrive in this area and support pollinators and butterflies. Choices include a variety of plant types, colors, textures, bloom times. In 2026, the selection included 32 different flowering perennials, ornamental grasses, and shrubs.
