Visit the Thorn Creek Audubon booth at Flossmoor’s OAKtoberfest, a “celebration of nature that includes enjoyment, education and fun for all ages.” TCAS members will host hands-on activities aimed at:

• Finding birds, including use of binoculars for children and hearing birds. Find the bird in the tree and ID the bird’s call.

• Understanding birds, especially the unique properties of eggs; paint an egg.

• Protecting birds, aimed at preventing window strikes; design a bird-safe window.
